About the Doctor

Dr. Emil Hayek, founder of Western Reserve Heart Care, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He has been in private practice since 2002, specializing in the care of coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging.

Dr. Hayek completed medical school and residency at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

He is the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center at Akron General Medical Center, and an assistant professor of medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
